When should I take this course?
Most mamas start the Empowered Hospital Birth course between 24–36 weeks, but it’s never too early to begin! The tools and mindset you’ll learn can support you all through pregnancy. You’ll also have lifetime access, so you can come back and review whenever you need.
What if I’m planning to get an epidural?
Then you’re exactly who this course is for. Empowered birth isn’t about being “natural”, it’s about being informed. We cover your comfort options, what to expect with an epidural, and how to stay connected and in control of your experience, no matter how your birth unfolds.
Will this still help me if I’ve already taken a hospital class?
Yes! In fact, many mamas say this course filled the gaps left by hospital classes. Hospital courses often focus on policy and procedure; Empowered Hospital Birth focuses on you, your mindset, your options, and your ability to advocate for yourself.
How long will it take to complete?
The course includes 6 self-paced modules +bonus section, each about 45–60 minutes. You can move through one module a week or binge-watch in a weekend. You’ll have lifetime access, so there’s no rush.
What if I have a scheduled induction or C-section?
You’ll still benefit immensely. We cover how to communicate with your care team, stay calm, and use comfort and mindset tools no matter how your birth begins. Empowered birth applies to every kind of birth including inductions and belly births.
Is there any live support or community included?
Right now, this is a self-paced course, but we’re adding optional live Q&As and bonus resources soon! Once you join, you’ll be the first to know about upcoming community events or upgrades.
Do I need any special materials or equipment?
Just your phone or computer and maybe a notebook or journal. You’ll receive printable PDFs, checklists, and templates inside the course for easy use.

Hi, I’m Elizabeth! Founder of Looma Birth, mama of three, and a two-time VBAC mama turned doula with over a decade of experience supporting families.

I created this class because I saw a huge gap in what was being taught. The hospital classes my clients were taking were preparing them to be good patients not empowering them with knowledge of their choices. The truth is, 98% of American women give birth in the hospital, and 92% receive an epidural.

I’m passionate about meeting mamas with those realities and giving them tools, options, and confidence to have empowered birth experiences no matter what path their birth takes.
